I will be honest…I was a little nervous to put this picture of me out there. I really am not a “selfie” person and I do not want anyone to think I am posting this for compliments because that is not my intention. I have gone through spurts in my life where I have gotten into working out but I have never really stuck with anything very long. I always wanted to be the person that got up every morning to work out but I always found excuses!
I have always been a little self-conscious about my arms and that is why I am posting this picture. I believed that my arms were just a part of my body that would not change. In a couple of months doing the 21 Day Fix I have gotten stronger and feel my body toning up. (The bottom picture is the beginning of May and the top picture was yesterday). It is the first program that I feel like I can stick to as a way of life. Here are a few reasons why these workouts are doable for me:
1) These workouts are short. They last 30 minutes!
2) They are not the same workouts every day. I don’t know about you but I get bored doing the same thing every day! And on top of that I have learned to like lifting weights (which I truly believe is key)
3) I have two kids under the age of 4 so most days they are joining me for these workouts.I don’t have the excuse of no babysitter.
4) Each workout has a different routine within the 30 minutes. There are sets of exercises usually a minute long. I CAN do a minute. And on top of it…there are modifiers. So if you are someone that hasn’t worked out consistently and this scares you…it really is made for people of all fitness levels.
All of this being said…if you are someone that can relate my hope is that you know that if I can do it..so can YOU! Ashley and I are leading a July 6 21 Day Fix Challenge Group and have a few spots still available if you would like to join us. We would love to lead you on a journey to a healthier you! There are different options available to this program so please message either one of us for details if interested. #KoinoniaAthletic#livehealthylovedeeply #fitteaminspire
